$150,000 Raised for Four Bahamas Charities by 2Hoops Productions, Sterling Global Financial

Sterling Global, 2Hoops Productions - David Kosoy and Heather Hodgson Kosoy - present check for $150,443 to Charity - Paradise Island, Bahamas

Sterling Global Financial, together with Heather Hodgson Kosoy’s 2Hoops Productions, is proud to share the success of the third annual Comedy for a Cause performance series. The 2025 production of Real Estate delivered a sold-out run and raised over $150,000 for Bahamian nonprofits, nearly doubling the amount donated the previous year.

This year’s beneficiary organisations include the Bahamas Feeding Network, Bahamas National Trust, Lend a Hand Bahamas, and the Ranfurly Homes for Children. The charities received funds during a presentation held at Sterling Global’s Paradise Island headquarters on December 4th, 2025.

The partnership between Sterling Global and 2Hoops Productions has quickly become a signature charitable initiative, blending world-class comedic theatre with meaningful community impact. Canadian actress and Bahamian resident Heather Hodgson Kosoy has led the charge each year, producing and starring in the production, supported by generous sponsors and loyal audiences who return annually for an evening of riotous entertainment in support of local causes.

As Sterling Global’s Chairman, David Kosoy, reflected after last year’s production, the heart of Comedy for a Cause is community generosity:

“If every wealthy person in The Bahamas reached into his or her pocket, we could solve every social need that can be solved with funds […] think of how much better off the people of The Bahamas would be if those who could afford to give did their part.”

At this year’s check presentation, Mr. Kosoy announced a new way to help charities do just that, by allowing the charitable organisations to earn funds directly from ticket sales, backed by a $50,000 personal underwriting commitment from him and his wife, Heather Hodgson Kosoy.

The 2026 Production – Smarty Pants

The fourth annual installment of Comedy for a Cause is already in motion. The 2026 production, Smarty Pants – written by Shelley Hoffman and Stephen Sparks – will take the stage February 12–21, 2026 at the Atlantis Theatre.

The comedy follows Linda (played by Hodgson Kosoy) and her two lifelong friends as they attempt to retrieve a sculpture from her ex-husband, now a tech millionaire thanks to his invention of “Smart-Underwear.” The heist takes an unexpected turn when he returns home mid-operation, setting off a chain of hilarious misadventures.
