Sterling Global’s Milestone in Cayman: A US$650M Commitment to Luxury Tourism

Sterling Global is making headlines in the Cayman Islands as our footprint on Seven Mile Beach reaches a new scale.

In a featured interview with the Cayman Compass, Executive Chairman David Kosoy detailed Sterling’s US$650 million investment into two landmark Hyatt-branded properties: the five-star Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman and the lifestyle-driven Hyatt Centric.

Together, this delivers more than 700 rooms and a 1,500-person oceanfront conference facility. The largest in the Cayman Islands.

Reflecting on the scale of the projects, David Kosoy emphasized that the success of these developments is built on a foundation of community and stability.

“It’s got to be a partnership. That’s the way the people win, the country wins, and we win,” Kosoy told the Compass.

He cited Cayman’s stable government, low geopolitical risk, and sophisticated infrastructure as the primary drivers behind Sterling’s approach, and plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to the office space in the Grand Hyatt upon its completion.

This reflects a clear direction for Sterling’s growth in the region. Building at scale, aligning with global partners, and committing long-term capital in markets where the fundamentals support it.
